Albi Cathedral

ALBI

Préfecture (County town) of the Tarn département of the "Occitanie" region of Southern France, is a little further away (but well worth a visit!) is known for the "Albigensian Herecy" and the "Cathare Crusades" with its magnificent Cathedral.....

It was in the cloisters of "Collégiale & Cloître St Salvy" that Tennis is said to have started/been invented. Certainly the Lawn Tennis Association in the UK used one our photos in their museum, perhaps our one & only claim to fame.

N.B. The very different architecture of this region, brick not stone.
